Let Trifold Brochures Help Advertise Your BusinessThere are many software programs that can help you create a quality brochure. As long as you have a good eye and know a little about layout, you can create your own quality brochure with ease. When you are writing your content for your brochure, use the marketing model, AIDA. The AIDA model describes what the process is for how your advertising, promotion or brochure should initiate in the prospective customer. AIDA is an acronym or Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. This is what your brochure needs to deliver in order for it to be successful.
Attention Your front cover should be catchy but with limited information. You want the front cover to catch your prospective customer's Attention. Use an engaging photograph or graphic with a catchy title or caption. Sprinkle photos and attention grabbing captions in a bold font throughout the content of the brochure. Interest The text of your content should spark interest. This is usually done in the first inner panel of the brochure, but should carry throughout the content. Your photos should also create interest in your customers. The content throughout should be written in such a manner that your readers want to read more, to find out more. When combined with the photos and captions it should generate a great interest in what you have to offer. Desire Somewhere near the top of the middle panel of your brochure, you should begin a new section that should begin to generate a desire for the product or service. Your words and photos (In many cases, photos are preferred over clipart, it just looks more professional.) should create a sense of desire in your prospect. They should begin to want your product or service. Action The third panel of your brochure should be your call to action. This accomplishes two marketing ploys. First, people generally read from left to right, so it is a natural progression. However, people are usually drawn to the right panel or right portion of an ad or sales copy. This means that the push to purchase your product or service or to get more information - and why they should want to purchase or know more - should be in that right hand area. The different brochure software programs can help you pull all of this together and give you a great trifold brochure for your company. For example, Word allows you to create an attractive brochure, but you are somewhat limited in what you can do in the creation. You are limited to certain text placement, graphic placement and layout. Publisher by Microsoft is very good and gives you much more freedom to maneuver and design, but you can not get a full bleed on photos or graphics unless you get a plug in. Adobe Illustrator gives you great freedom and maneuverability and you can get a full bleed on your photos or graphics. Once you take inventory of what you want from your brochure and what features you want it to have, you can create a brochure that will draw your customers to you and make them want to know more. |
